Unfortunately, I have been stricken with a minor illness, so page 7 will not be coming out as originally scheduled. Luckily, I am on the upward swing and will hopefully be able to get back to work on Umbrafall soon.
After giving it some thought, here's the plan (provided I continue getting better):
Page 7 will release next Friday, 3/6. In the meantime, I have a small coding experiment that I will officially post on Monday. It'll be linked on the (currently under construction) Extras page and I will also link it on the comic's tumblr.
I know an extra week is a long wait, but the extra time means extra content: on Friday 3/13 I will post a small teaser for the next phase of the project!
After that, the comic will be on hiatus for a while. Act 0 is a fairly ambitious project, but Act 1 will be much, much larger. I want to have a solid plan in place and a sizable buffer of pages to ensure that delays such as this one will be few and far between. I have plans for some small-to-medium sized extras that I will be posting during the hiatus, which I will be posting on the comic's tumblr I linked earlier.
Thank you all for your patience and for coming along with me on this wild ride. I'm looking forward to finishing this part of the project with a bang and getting the next one started!
Welcome to the home of Umbrafall! This is a project that has been many years in the making. I am excited to finally be able to share it with the world.
Umbrafall is a story and its corresponding setting inspired by my love of the arts. The current project is a 7 "page" Act 0 that is meant to both introduce the setting and act as a standalone story. Tune in on Fridays starting January 16th, 2025 for new pages!
